Alison Doody

Alison Doody, born 11 November 1966 in Ireland, is a model and actor. Her debut film part as an archaeologist Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, 1989's Elsa Schneider - a Nazi-sympathizing character - in A View to a Kill (Bond film 1985) She went on to perform the role of Nazisympathizing Elsa Schneider. Other roles include Siobhan Donavan on the film A Prayer for the Dying (1987) Charlotte in Taffin (1988) as well as Rebecca Flannery in Major League II (1994). Doody was first introduced to modeling when she was invited by a professional photographer. It led to a successful professional career as a model for commercials. Doody was determined to steer clear of glamorous and sexy roles, that was a rule she followed in her acting. Once she caught the attention of the director of casting in the upcoming James Bond movie, she took a part in A View to a Kill as Jenny Flex. Doody is listed in John Willis Screen World's Vol. 3 as one of the 12 top actors of 1986. 38. Doody had just turned 18 when she took on the role of Bond girl. Doody appeared as Archibald Craven in his dreams in the 1987 television version of The Secret Garden. She was Lilias. The Storyteller's episode Sapsorrow was her debut leading part. It took place in 1988 alongside John Hurt, Dawn France along with Jennifer Saunders. She played opposite Pierce Brosnan in the film Taffin (1988) prior to taking perhaps her most well-known role to date in the role of Austrian Nazi-sympathiser as well as archaeologist Dr. Elsa Schneider in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade as a co-star with Harrison Ford. Doody played the role with Sean Connery, who played Indiana Jones' father. Doody was a part of Jonathan Pryce as Hitler Diaries the British mini-series inspired by Hitler Diaries. Then she moved to Hollywood. Doody made her acting comeback in 2003 when she played a minuscule role in The Actors, a British comedy The Actors, in which Michael Caine played herself at an awards show. She also appeared in 2004 in a film with Patrick Swayze as a television adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. She played a role in Benjamin's Struggle, a 2005 pamphlet on the Holocaust. Doody made an appearance as a character in Danny Dyer 2010's The Rapture. Later, she appeared as a guest in the medical drama of RTE The Clinic and was set to star in a 2011 remake of the classic horror film The Asphyx but the project was later put on hold. She began her first two seasons of the E4 comedy Beaver Falls in 2011 as Pam Jefferson. In 2014 she starred in We Still Kill the Old Way. In November of 2018, she received the Almeria the tierra de cine prize and was awarded an award in the Almeria Walk of Fame.
