Big Time Rush
Big Time Rush is an American pop-rock
boy band formed in the year 2009. The group consists of Kendall Schmidt, James
Maslow, Logan Henderson, and Carlos PenaVega. They signed initially with Nick
Records in 2009. Then, Columbia Records transferred them to their new label.
The group was featured on Nickelodeon's television series Big Time Rush. From
November 28, 2009 through July 25 2013 the show was on air. The premiere
episode introduced the group's first single for promotion, "Big Time
Rush". The group recorded three albums, BTR in 2010, Elevate 2011 , and
24/Seven in 2013. The group took an indefinite break in 2014 that lasted until
2021 when they resumed live shows and released the single "Call It Like I
See It". Nickelodeon has signed Big Time Rush to a record deal in 2009
concurrently with the TV show Big Time Rush. Nickelodeon has also teamed up
with Columbia/Epic Label Group for production and music that is original. The
show's debut single, "Big Time Rush" was released on November 29, 2009.
Officially announced by Nickelodeon in November 2009, the series was broadcast
for the first time in the American market. It was then released
internationally. The series premiered on a one-hour special preview of the show
and is currently the show's opening theme. The series also saw release of
promotional singles such as "City is Ours" and "Any Kind of
Guy". Big Time Rush also remixed the Play song "Famous" and was
written by the singer. It was released to iTunes on June 29, 2010, The song's
second, "Halfway There", was also released on iTunes shortly after
the premiere of the series. It quickly became the first song to chart on
Billboard Hot 100. Due to digital sales the track climbed to 93. Big Time
Rush's second single, "Till You Forget About You", was released on
September 21 in 2010. The purpose of the release was to announce their debut
album. On October 11, 2010, the album, called BTR it was released to the
public. The album climbed to number 3 on Billboard 200 and sold 67,000 copies
in its first week.
