Britney Jean Spears

Britney Jean Spears was born 2 December, 1981 in McComb, Mississippi & raised in Kentwood, Louisiana. As a young girl, Britney attended dance classes and was a pro in gymnastics. She won numerous contests and other similar. Britney was an excellent performer and dancer. Britney was 8 years old when the time came for her to join The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) however her age and youth led to her being turned down. She was then directed to "Ruthless" Off-Broadway production, in which she performed in the role of the title character for two years. The show was re-run for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) but this time as a mouseketeer. Her big break, however, was after she was signed a Jive Recording Artist in the late 1990s. Britney was a huge success after her first album, "Baby one more time." "...Baby another time" in 1999. The album also sold 13 million copies (as as of July 2001), of her second album "Oops !...I did it Again" which was released in May 2000. Britney was the daughter of Lynne Spears and Jamie Spears. She has one of her brothers Bryan Spears and a little sister Jamie Lynn Spears. Since the age of a child, Britney was always fixing to become a famous singer with her idols like Madonna, Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston, the young Britney was constantly singing, no matter what was happening in the world around her. Britney auditioned to The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989-1994) on the television at age 8. But she was too young to play the role. Instead, Britney, her mother and baby sister relocated to New York where she starred in several TV ads and in the off-Broadway show, "Ruthless", where she was an understudy for Natalie Portman. After a few years, her love of dance and music began to take over. She auditioned again to be on "Mickey Mouse" and was chosen along with Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera Christina Aguilera and Justin Timberlake.
