Rachel Anne McAdams
Rachel Anne McAdams was born on the 17th
of November 1978, in London, Ontario, Canada Rachel Anne McAdams was the
daughter of Sandra Kay (Gale), an RN and Lance Frederick McAdams, an auto
driver and furniture moving. She is English-, Welsh-, Irishas well as Scottish.
Rachel began acting at thirteen. She was already acting in Shakespearean plays
at the summer theater camps. Rachel graduated with honors from York University
with a BFA in Theater. After her first appearance on TV on Disney's The Famous
Jett Jackson in 1998, Rachel appeared in Canadian television's Slings and
Arrows 2003. This comedy-drama follows the struggle of Shakespearean theater
groups. The actress was awarded an Gemini Award for her performance in 2003.
Her first big role was in Mean Girls (2004) as Regina George instantly landed
her on the Hollywood's hot list of promising young actors. Following that film
she starred alongside Ryan Gosling as the romantic drama adaptation of Nicholas
Sparks' bestseller The Notebook (2004). This was a huge hit at the box office ,
and was the most watched romantic drama for the young crowd. McAdams and
Gosling fell in love during filming and continued to date until the middle of
2007. McAdams and Gosling soon were in a relationship and started to have a relationship.
Starring roles in the war drama The Lucky Ones (2007) and the newspaper
thriller State of Play (2009) as well as the romantic drama The Time Traveler's
Wife (2009) was the next film to follow, and she then starred with Robert
Downey Jr. and Jude Law in Guy Ritchie's international blockbuster Sherlock
Holmes (2009). McAdams played the shrewd producer in Morning Glory (2010).
McAdams also played Owen Wilson's materialistic fiancee in Midnight in Paris
(2011). McAdams then returned to romantic drama in The Vow (2012) with Channing
Tatum. McAdams is also in the film with Terrence Malick in To the Wonder (2012)
and Noomi Rapace is Passion (2012) in Brian De Palma’s thriller.
